So, first, my definition of marketing is any kind of communication and connection you make with your people... anything.
Foundational marketing is that regular form of communication you do with your tribe: ezine, blog, social media updates, visual graphics, free gift offer on your website, video updates.
Promotional marketing is the extra... free teleclass, new eCourse, product/program/service offering... that you do. Maybe it's on a regular basis, or maybe you promote something just every so often.
Hint: the more consistent your marketing, the more responsive your people. That means consistency in both foundational marketing and promotional marketing.
Now, the question is... have you planned all this marketing?
- Do you have a regular schedule for your ezine publishing?
- Do you blog regularly?
- How often do you post on social media?
- Have you picked one main social media outlet to rock?
- Do you consistently put offers out to your community?
If you don't market to your community regularly, they'll forget about you. Make yourself a valuable part of their lives and businesses by providing great content and information as well as helpful products and programs. That means marketing. And that means planning your marketing!
