(To get up-to-date, Thrive is my theme for 2012, and Teen Child created a 2012 calendar to honor and inspire that theme. This is March.)
March's theme: Relationships.
Here is what she wrote: "Fill in each bubble with a person, place, or thing with which/whom you have a relationship. Fill them in accordingly so that they remain connected. Also, try to keep a stable equilibrium so that no bubble pops and no bubble hangs limp."
(I have to say I'm surprised she didn't actually just write "noun" instead of "person, place, or thing.")
I find this fascinating for several reasons. 1) It is so incredibly creative. The idea of the bubbles, keeping them connected, the concept of equilibrium...., and 2) my fifteen-year-old daughter came up with this. FIFTEEN!
I was not that creative or insightful when I was fifteen, I can tell you that for sure.
So, now I sit here and decide what to put in the bubbles. (I do like the idea that Teen Child allowed me to put in things or places, because we do have relationships outside of people.) Home will certainly be filled in a bubble. My primary relationships, including my children. My amazing clients. Ooooh, here's one... how about myself?
Thrive - in relationships. I'll always love that idea.

This is so beautiful! The art, the interactive calendar, the ritual! She's very special! Does she want to intern at Center for Joyful Business this summer? ;)

She absolutely would love that! She just has to not be so darn busy! :)
(Oh, and I get her first!)
