I wrote this morning on the next short story. Of course, that implies that I wrote scenes and plot and characters. Nope. It was more of a brain dump of everything that's swirling in my head around this new story. It seems a little odd to me, but maybe that's how the other one started three years ago. It's been a while, so I don't rightly remember.
I know I had an outline and a document of notes (a brain dump), but as memory recalls, it seems as though I started writing the darn thing pretty quickly. Write a scene or two and stop. Write another scene or two and stop. It didn't seem that there was this black hole of not knowing where to go next.
It's probably that it's just at the beginning. And I'm not complaining, by the way. After this morning's writing session I have a new character, Anton, and some different directions that popped up.
I also have 36 questions, courtesy of the brain dump. And I guess I'll need more brain dumps in order to answer those questions.
