A few weeks ago, I was approached to solve a word problem. I can be creative at times, but nothing is coming to this poor, old brain. I'm sure it has nothing to do with coming back from a conference and then getting ready to go on vacation at my grandparents'.
We were our own organization. We had Fellows and Senior Fellows, an honorary title for members who made significant contributions to the field. Just like the academic sense of the word on wikipedia.
Three years ago we joined a larger, prestigious organization that already has Fellows. We can't use the title any more, but are allowed to rename ours. The Board has debated and debated during 3 years of annual Board meetings, unable to come up with a word that makes everyone go "yes!" So the ones on the table are kind of "frumpy": Noted Member, Honored Member.
One debate point is the women want an inclusive word; they didn't like "Fellows."
So let's help them out. What are some non-frumpy, cool, "YES!" titles?
(Author's note: You gotta love someone who uses a semicolon!)

I like "distinguish" and "celebrated," but we need a noun to replace "fellow."
Help!
