Every month I write a letter to the AssistU community in our monthly The VA News. I write whatever happens to come to mind, hoping that it's inspirational as well as authentic. I write it and pretty much forget about it.
Yesterday, in Stacy's Virtual Moxie, she posted the letter I wrote in this month's The VA News as her weekly moxie tip (moxie being that quality of having high standards and standing strong for yourself). To introduce the Bit O'Moxie, she wrote:
Our COO Dawn writes a letter to the community each month, and in this month's edition, Dawn wrote something I wanted to share with you. It's below, and unto itself, it's this week's Bit O’Moxie.
I read that, and I immediately cringed. What did I write? Was it any good? Yikes.
Then I read it. And no cringing was necessary. In fact, I was quite proud of what I wrote, and it stands on its own.
Funny enough, what I wrote was on letting our inner critics get the best of us. And still, after writing that letter to the AssistU VAs, the inner critic was inside, waiting.
