I recently edited a 68-page special report. (Remember how I've said I've edited a 40-page report? Well, it's now grown to 68 pages.)
Here I am, ready to send this special report out to the masses, and I thought I might edit it one last time. It had been a few months, and although I felt it was ready to go, being the perfectionist I am, I dove in again.
It was no big deal, although it did take longer than I thought. When I edited it before, it was always on screen. This time, I printed out the whole thing. What a difference.
Of course I caught a lot of formatting stuff. (Do I put the headings in blue or black? Do I bold important info or color it blue? Is there enough white space?) And then there was also content. I edited for readability, and I added some information. There was even a place where I reordered the content.
Just like editing should be. And it wasn't horrible.
Maybe I won't need to wait until June to edit my novel. We'll see.
