When I listed the Christmas movies we watch every year, I was really serious. We really do watch them every year.
Here's what we've done so far (um, does falling asleep during the movie count? I'm going to say it does - it's not as if I missed something I hadn't seen before):
Love Actually - just last night, as a matter of fact. It's a great cure for grumpiness.
And (these should have been on my original list - I don't know how I forgot them!) Die Hard and Die Hard 2. As a matter of fact, Die Hard is almost always the movie that heralds the Christmas season for us. Don't ask - I'm twisted!

I completely feel you on this one. I watch movies in my collection over and over again anyway, but this time of the year there are a few that I just need to see. To help me do this I have a spreadsheet (SURPRISE!). I guess it really is a quirk of mine to create lists and rate things. Well, I have an Access database of my entire DVD/Video collection. Therefore, I'm able to find my movies by genre. So, when most people are pulling out the Christmas decorations after Thanksgiving dinner, I’m pulling out my movies. So, here’s my list:
White Christmas, The Muppets Christmas Carol, A Christmas Carol (with Patrick Stewart – the best captain ever), It’s a Wonderful Life, both Miracles on 34th Street (I really don’t have a preference), all the Christmas Movies we grew up watching on TV, Merry Christmas Charlie Brown, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and the Grinch, Elf (my new favorite second to The Muppets), and The Santa Clause (this movie made me a believer again).
My non-traditional Christmas movies are Bridget Jones Diary, Love Actually, and About a Boy. Hey, I just realized it’s a Hugh Grant theme for Christmas!
Thanks for letting me share!

I don't think of watching my Christmas movies as something I *have* to do, so I don't think that's an anal thing. :-) It's not as if I'm sitting here going, "Oh no! It's December 14, and I've only watched half of my movies!"
:-)
During this time of year, I just only want to watch Christmas movies. So, that's what we watch.
Add to my recently viewed list _The Thin Man_ (it's one of my favorites, but it's not necessarily a family or spouse favorite. Therefore, it didn't make the original list) and _The Bishop's Wife_.
If I were anal, then I'd be doing pretty well right now. ;->
